PM Modi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed in his parliamentary seat of Varanasi on Friday, only months before the Lok Sabha elections. In one of the holiest cities in Uttar Pradesh, PM Modi will be inaugurating and laying the groundwork for several development projects valued at over ₹13,000 crore. PM Modi will also speak at public gatherings. In Varanasi, up to 23 programs valued at ₹10,972 crore will be introduced today. The foundation stone for twelve schemes totaling ₹2,195.07 crore will be laid by PM Modi.

  • PM Modi will perform a ‘pooja’ and a ‘darshan’ at the Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali at 11:15 a.m. The prime minister will also attend a gathering at 11.30 a.m. to honor Sant Guru Ravidas’ 647th birth anniversary.
  • The prime minister will inaugurate a freshly placed statue of Sant Ravidas at the Sant Guru Ravidas Janmasthali temple in Seer Govardhanpur, near Banaras Hindu University.
  • PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for the Sant Ravidas Museum and park beautification, which are estimated to be worth ₹62 crore, as well as inaugurate several development projects surrounding Sant Ravidas Janmasthali, valued at roughly ₹32 crore.
  • Several road projects, including the four-laning of National Highways 233 and 56 between Sultanpur and Varanasi and Ghargra-Bridge-Varanasi, will be inaugurated and formally laid the foundation stone by Prime Minister Modi.
  • Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to inaugurate an HPCL LPG bottling facility in Sewapuri, as well as a Banas Kashi Sankul milk processing unit at UPSIDA Agro Park Karkhiyaon. Additionally, he will inaugurate a silk fabric printing common facilities center aimed at advancing the development of his constituency.
  • In Varanasi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the cornerstone for the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
  • To upgrade the city’s medical infrastructure, PM Modi is scheduled to lay the cornerstone of a new medical college in Varanasi. At Banaras Hindu University, he will also lay the cornerstone for the National Centre of Ageing.
  • PM Modi will also open the District Rifle Shooting Range and Sigra Sports Stadium Phase-1 to encourage sports.
  • Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will set the groundwork for several initiatives aimed at revitalizing Varanasi’s natural beauty, such as the creation of a 3-D digital map and database and the renovation of parks and ponds.
  • PM Modi will also unveil several initiatives, like as the renovation of public spaces at five locations along the Pavan Path and 10 spiritual excursions along the Panchkoshi Parikrama Marg.
