Lasya Nandita, a Bharat Rashtra Samithi MLA, was killed today in a horrific traffic accident in Hyderabad. The 37-year-old, a first-time MLA, sustained significant injuries after her vehicle lost control and slammed with a road divider.
Lasya Nandita was swiftly transported to the hospital following the accident, but tragically, she passed away later during her stay. The driver involved in the collision sustained critical injuries and is presently undergoing medical treatment.
Just a mere ten days prior, Lasya had narrowly escaped another accident in Narkatpally, where she endured minor injuries. Then, on February 13, en route to Nalgonda to participate in a rally hosted by the Chief Minister, another unfortunate incident unfolded. Tragically, this time it claimed the life of her home guard.

Lasya Nandita, born in 1986 in Hyderabad, began her political career around a decade ago. She was a corporator in the Kavadiguda ward before being elected MLA for Secunderabad Cantonment in the 2023 Telangana assembly elections.
Senior BRS leader KT Rama Rao offered his sympathies for Nandita’s untimely passing on X, formerly Twitter. According to reports, the motorist who was engaged in the collision is gravely hurt and is being treated right now.
Following the passing of her father G Sayanna in the previous year, Lasya was given the duty of continuing his legacy. She received a nomination as the party’s candidate and won the election in November 2023.
