KCR Temple: In 2016, Gunda Ravinder, who had been an admirer of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during the independent Telangana campaign, constructed a tiny temple at his Dhandepalli home. He has been praying to the statue of KCR ever since. But now that the BRS chief isn’t supporting him, Ravinder has listed the temple for sale.
Information claims that during the campaign for independent statehood, BRS activities captivated Ravinder, an Arya Vysya community member. He spent Rs 2 lakh building a modest shrine in front of KCR’s residence as a token of his appreciation for the actor.
Ravinder chose to list the temple for sale because he believes Mancherial BRS MLA N. Diwakar Rao is ignoring him.
Ravinder also bemoaned the fact that, despite his invitation, BRS officials did not show up for the temple inauguration, feeling as though he had been let down.
He said that for the temple opening, he had invited prominent members of the BRS, such as MLC K Kavitha and district leaders from Mancherial.
Although Ravinder remembered having a good relationship with KCR during the Telangana movement, he expressed disappointment that he was unable to get in touch with the chief minister at Telangana Bhavan and Pragathi Bhavan.
The electorate could interpret the sale of the KCR temple as the chief minister disregarding the Telangana sentiment that led to the creation of a separate Telangana and not taking action to correct the injustice done to the Telanganites regarding “Neellu, Nidhulu, and Niyamakalu.”
It may negatively affect the BRS in the next elections.
