KCR: Following the arrest of BRS MLC K. Kavitha in the multi-crore Delhi Liquor Scam, her father, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, appears to have lost track of what he is saying at various meetings during the election campaign. KCR confirmed his intention to join the NDA in an interview with a reputable magazine. He also admitted that he had sought Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s approval to appoint his son, K.T. Rama Rao, the chief minister.
The video, which has since gone viral ahead of the elections, is causing quite a stir. The magazine published the interview on October 27, 2023.
This revelation has now provided ammunition to the Congress, which is vigorously promoting the idea that the BJP and BRS are two sides of the same coin.
It is important to remember that Modi asserted at a Telangana public meeting that he had rejected KCR’s offer to join the NDA. He added that KCR had also asked for blessings to name his son KTR as CM, but that he had refused to accept even that.
The Congress quickly started claiming that Modi and KCR had a covert agreement. The Congress leaders reasoned, If not, then why would KCR approach Modi about joining the NDA?
