Ayodhya Ram Mandir: According to a Personnel Ministry decision released on Thursday, central government workplaces nationwide will observe a half-day on January 22 in observance of the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.
Central institutions, central government offices, and central industrial establishments would all be closed until 2:30 pm on this day. “The Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on January 22, 2024, across India,” the directive stated. It has been agreed that all central government offices, central institutions, and central industrial units throughout India will close for a half day on January 22, 2024, until 14:30 hours, to allow staff to take part in the festivities.” In light of the “overwhelming” public sentiments, Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh informed PTI that the decision has been made. Champat Rai, the general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, announced that the Ram temple will be open for public ‘darshan’ starting January 23. “The ‘Pran Prathishtha’ ceremony is anticipated to conclude by 1 pm. Following the ceremony, PM Modi and other dignitaries present will share their thoughts. Public darshan will be closed on January 20 and 21,” he stated.
