Ayodhya Ram Mandir: According to a Personnel Ministry decision released on Thursday, central government workplaces nationwide will observe a half-day on January 22 in observance of the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.

Central institutions, central government offices, and central industrial establishments would all be closed until 2:30 pm on this day. “The Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha at Ayodhya will be celebrated on January 22, 2024, across India,” the directive stated. It has been agreed that all central government offices, central institutions, and central industrial units throughout India will close for a half day on January 22, 2024, until 14:30 hours, to allow staff to take part in the festivities.” In light of the “overwhelming” public sentiments, Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh informed PTI that the decision has been made. The consecration ceremony, known as ‘Pran Pratishtha,’ for the new idol of Ram Lalla at the innermost chamber of the Ram temple, is set to take place on Monday.

Invitations have been extended to more than 7,000 individuals, including celebrities like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Amitabh Bachchan, and business leaders such as Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani. Additionally, 4,000 seers from various parts of the country have also been invited to the event. In preparation for the Ram Temple Pran Pratishtha event on January 22 in Ayodhya, anti-terrorist squad commandos from Uttar Pradesh have been assigned to enhance security at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. Security measures have been intensified in Mainpuri City in anticipation of both the Pran Pratishtha ceremony for Ram Lalla at the grand temple on January 22 and Republic Day on January 26. Prime Minister Modi will officiate the ceremonial installation of Shri Ram Lalla within the innermost chamber of the temple.

Champat Rai, the general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, announced that the Ram temple will be open for public ‘darshan’ starting January 23. “The ‘Pran Prathishtha’ ceremony is anticipated to conclude by 1 pm. Following the ceremony, PM Modi and other dignitaries present will share their thoughts. Public darshan will be closed on January 20 and 21,” he stated.
