IMD anticipates today’s rainfall in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, and THESE states would range from heavy to extremely heavy.
West Bengal’s sub-Himalayan areas could get severe rain, according to IMD. Due to a low-pressure region, the Meteorological department issued a warning on Thursday that West Bengal’s sub-Himalayan areas would experience heavy to extremely severe rain through today.

Northeast India:
The weather department has predicted light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall/thunderstorm & lightning with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely over Assam & Meghalaya during 5th-7th October; Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, Manipur on 6th October.
East India:
-Isolated heavy rainfall very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on 6th October; over Andaman & Nicobar Islands during 5-9 October.
Northwest India:
As per IMD, light to moderate scattered rainfall, thunderstorm and lightning very likely over Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 9th October.
South and West India:
According to the weather service, the region of West and South India won’t experience any significant weather over the next four days.
