PM Modi’s Elephant Safari: During his inaugural trip to Kaziranga National Park in Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on both an elephant and a jeep safari.

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on an elephant and jeep safari during his inaugural visit to Assam’s Kaziranga National Park. According to the Assam Chief Minister’s Office, he is the first Prime Minister to visit the Unesco World Heritage Site since 1957.

After taking an elephant safari, Modi went on a jeep safari in the Mihimukh area, which is part of the Central Kohora range of the National Park.

Senior forest officers and Sonali Ghosh, the park director, were with him.

During his two-day visit to Assam, Prime Minister Modi will initiate and lay the foundation stone for many development projects valued at over Rs. 18,000 crore.

The governments of Assam and the Central government are working on the projects.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma welcomed him when he first arrived at the Tezpur airport on Friday.   – PM Modi’s Elephant Safari

In a post on X, Sarma expressed excitement, stating, “#ModiParivarAssam is delighted to welcome our dear Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji to the sacred land of Maa Kamakhya and the revered figure Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev.”

Modi took a helicopter from Tezpur to Kaziranga’s Golaghat district, where he spent the night at the Unesco World Heritage Site.

The Chief Minister wrote on X that “#ModiParivarAssam comes out in large numbers to welcome their very own family member to the World Heritage Site” after arriving in Kaziranga.

The Chief Minister announced that on Saturday, Prime Minister Modi will officially unveil the 125-foot tall ‘Statue of Valour’ dedicated to Lachit Barphukan in Jorhat. This monumental event commemorates the legendary Ahom general’s courageous defiance against invaders.

Following this, he will proceed to Meleng Meteli Pothar, also located in Jorhat district, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various central and state projects collectively valued at around Rs 18,000 crore.

Moreover, the Prime Minister is scheduled to deliver a speech at a public gathering at the same venue.
