The release of the superstar’s film “Jailer” on Thursday was welcomed by ardent Rajinikanth fans all over Tamil Nadu, marking the actor’s comeback to the big screen as “Tiger’s Muthuvel Pandian.” As audiences gathered for the first day’s opening performance, theaters around the state, which were reportedly booked to capacity throughout the week, took on a joyous appearance.

As the teaser, which promised action-packed entertainment, was warmly received, hopes for the Nelson Dilipkumar-directed action movie were raised.
