Amitabh Bachchan, the esteemed veteran actor, has undergone an angioplasty procedure at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital after being hospitalized early Friday morning. As of now, neither the hospital nor the family has issued an official statement regarding his condition.

Following the news of his hospitalization, Bachchan expressed his gratitude in a post on his official social media account. The message said, “T 4950 – in gratitude ever…” The actor also uploaded a video of himself and his son, Abhishek Bachchan, participating in the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL). The footage shows them cheering as their team advances to the finals.

This marks Bachchan’s second surgical procedure of the year. In January, he underwent surgery to address a wrist injury incurred while filming “Kalki 2898 AD” in Hyderabad the previous year. Additionally, the actor experienced strain in his rib cartilage and suffered a torn muscle, hindering his ability to attend the San Diego Comic-Con for promotional activities related to the film. – Amitabh Bachchan
