During today’s media discussion, Mukesh Kumar Meena, the Chief Electoral Officer of Andhra Pradesh, shared remarks regarding the teaser of Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which centered around the tea glass symbol of JSP.
The CEO emphasized that once the election code is enforced, any film or promotional material seeking to endorse a specific party’s election symbol must obtain prior permission from the Election Commission. He acknowledged that the teaser of Ustaad Bhagat Singh featured the tea glass symbol, prompting them to carefully assess it for potential action. While promoting election symbols during the election code period is not prohibited, the content must first receive EC approval. The CEO assured that he would personally examine the mentioned teaser to ensure compliance.
