“I am filled with joy over the acknowledgment our film has received,” expressed Anupam Kher.

At the 69th National Film Awards on Thursday, The Kashmir Files, starring Anupam Kher, took home the Nargis Dutt Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration. “NATIONAL AWARD: Delighted and proud that #TheKashmirFiles won the prestigious and most important #NationalAward – Nargis Dutt award for #BestFeatureFilm on national integration,” actor posted in response to the good news on X, formerly known as Twitter.

In addition to acting, you served as the movie’s executive producer. I’m overjoyed that our movie has received such praise. I also wished I had been recognized for my acting. Aage kaam karne ka maza aur utsaah kaise aega! If saari khwahishein poori ho jaaye! Chaliye! My sincere congrats to all of the winners! Jai Ho!”

Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mithun Chakraborty, and Darshan Kumaar played the key characters in the Vivek Agnihotri-directed movie.

Director Vivek Angnihotri responded to the news by saying, “I’m in America and just learned that ‘The Kashmir Files’ received the 69th National Award. It is one of the most esteemed honors in our nation. I’ve always claimed that “The Kashmir Files” is a movie for all Kashmiris who have suffered because of terrorism in the Valley, not just for myself. It serves as a platform for the anguish of Kashmiris who have experienced terrorism
