US-India: The first-ever US-India Cyber Security Initiative intends to bring together the world’s best cyber security specialists to create jobs and develop cutting-edge solutions.

The first-ever US-India Cyber Security Initiative was introduced by the US Consulate to fortify IT ties between the two nations in association with the Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries, and Agriculture (MCCIA).

During the MCCIA Pune Business International Business Summit on Monday, US Consul General Mike Hankey stated that the initiative’s goal is to bring together the world’s leading cybersecurity specialists to provide employment opportunities and develop innovative solutions.

He stated that the program will lead the city into a mentorship model in cyberspace while also fostering people-to-people ties in cyberspace.

Hankey stressed that a safe, robust, and stable cyberspace is critical for the development of both the public and private sectors, allowing people throughout the world to benefit from the free flow of information online.

Cyber issues are a top priority in the US-India bilateral relationship. He expressed that both the United States and India face the challenge of mitigating cybersecurity threats while ensuring that the digital revolution contributes to global prosperity and stability.

CG Hankey, addressing the media post-event, remarked on the remarkable advancements unfolding in artificial intelligence, advanced telecommunications, critical and emerging technologies, bioengineering, and energy sectors.

According to Hankey, the Cybersecurity Initiative represents the close cooperation between the US and India. These developments also have worldwide economic and social benefits, demonstrating the importance of cybersecurity in the expanding digital sphere.

He mentioned that the center’s efforts would entail partnering with research institutions, industry, and civil society to bolster cybersecurity defenses, fortify infrastructure, and safeguard sensitive information.

“We take pride in collaborating with MCCIA to inaugurate the US-India Cyber Security Initiative, aiming to establish secure and prosperous IT connections between our nations. This underscores our mutual aspiration for a world characterized by openness, security, and prosperity,” he concluded.

Prashant Girbane, the Director General of MCCIA, emphasized the strategic significance of the Initiative for citizens, businesses, and governments alike.

During his address at the summit, Hankey remarked that the world is witnessing remarkable transformations in artificial intelligence, advanced telecommunications, critical and emerging technologies, bioengineering, and energy sectors.
