Revanth Reddy: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, a devoted supporter of TDP leader N. Chandrababu Naidu, has chosen to implement land pooling for the Musi River Front Development Project through a private-public partnership. Building on the success of previous land pooling ventures near the Musi River, the Congress government has chosen to emulate this approach for the Musi Riverfront development project.

Naidu similarly employed land pooling to develop the capital city, Amaravati, in Andhra Pradesh. The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) was formed to manage the project’s execution. Under Naidu’s leadership, the TDP government procured over 30,000 acres for the construction of the capital city.

Under the leadership of Revanth Reddy, the government has resolved to transform the Musi riverfront into a tourist destination and a key public transportation route. To achieve this vision, substantial parcels of land will be needed.

To actualize the project, a drone survey has been initiated to pinpoint government-owned lands. Subsequently, private lands will be acquired via land pooling, with compensation for landowners being provided either through the allocation of a portion of developed land within the project area or nearby. Land pooling has proven advantageous for numerous development endeavors in cities throughout the country.
