The Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which was released nearly a year ago in China, is now getting an Android 14-based HyperOS update. The new HyperOS upgrade is the device’s first major update since its debut with the Android 13-based MIUI 14 skin on top.

Notifications are targeted at important information and will be presented in the most efficient manner possible.
HyperOS is designed to be more efficient and work across multiple devices. App boot times are now claimed to be faster, with increased background memory retention. This also includes AI features, such as AI-generated text via the Xiaomi input assistant. HyperOS enables users to capture text in photos, turn doodles into paintings, and search for images with natural language.
The update also includes new lock screen customization options and minor UI changes to the control center and stock apps. HyperOS also lets you use your phone’s rear camera as a webcam via Xiaomi HyperConnect and Hypermind.
