Rainfall alert: Today Feb 21, Wednesday our Indian capital Delhi may seems to face light rainfall in some areas. The mercury is 12.2 degrees Celsius. According to the Press Trust of India (PTI), we will expect to observe a cloudy sky throughout the day in Delhi.

As per the data available from Central Pollution Control Board, the Air Quality Index recorded a reading of 262 at 8 am, indicating that the quality of air remained in the ‘poor’ category. Furthermore, they set a few limitation for identifying the AQI levels which better or not.

They considered it as good when AQI reading ranges between 0 and 50. Moreover, it considered as Satisfactory between 51 and 100, 101 and 200 moderate. From above 200 range noticed it as poor quality. So, rage between 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor and 401 and 500 intense level.

 On Monday, Delhi experienced rainfall during the late hours. It resulted in the slight improvement in the quality of air. In February 2023, the capital hasn’t experienced any rainfall. But, this year during the same month, the capital city witnessed a continues rainfall from last five days.

Not only in the capital city, other North Indian cities also expected to face slight rainfall till Thursday and snowfall as well, predicted by IMD Weather forecast. However, the weather reports predicted rainfall in the northeastern states in the coming day. And a ‘yellow alert’ has been issued for several regions due to the possibility of hailstorms.

This bulletin says that western Himalayan experienced light rainfall to heavy rainfall and snowfall with thunders on February 22 and 23. light rainfall to heavy rainfall and snowfall a chance to come. IMD estimates Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand experienced hailstorms today (February 21)
