PM Modi & Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik: On his first visit to India as Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tarik met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman on Saturday, with the goal of expanding bilateral cooperation in a variety of areas, including trade and investment.

The Sultan of Oman arrived in Delhi on Friday for his first state visit to India as the Gulf country’s top leader.

Strongifying the Strategic Partnership between Oman and India! Before the talks, External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi posted on X, saying, PM @narendramodi warmly received His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman at Hyderabad House, setting the stage for bilateral discussions.

In the post, he went on to add that charting pathways for the future collaboration between the two countries and assessing bilateral ties are also on the agenda. – PM Modi & Oman’s Sultan

On Friday morning, Sultan bin Tarik received a ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan forecourt.

The inaugural state visit by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to India signifies a noteworthy milestone in the diplomatic ties between India and the Sultanate of Oman, stated the Ministry of External Affairs earlier this week when unveiling the visit.

India and the Sultanate of Oman are strategic partners, and bilateral trade and investment relations between the two countries have improved in recent years.
