In 2022, during Pawan Kalyan’s tour from Vizag to Vijayawada, he claimed that a DSP-ranked police officer had offended him. This incident sparked doubts about Pawan’s security. Similarly, when Pawan was heading to meet Chandrababu at Rajahmundry jail, complaints emerged regarding the lack of police protection for him. This concern arose particularly as he protested on the road after being prevented from entering Rajahmundry.
Following these incidents, Pawan began to enlist private security, often arriving in Andhra Pradesh accompanied by privately hired bouncers. However, a significant shift occurred after Pawan’s tour to Delhi, as he has now been provided with central security. Pawan is now accompanied by 1+1 CRPF security personnel, who remain by his side around the clock.
Both central and AP state police have bolstered Pawan’s security, assigning a CI-ranked officer and a fleet of police constables for his protection. It remains unclear whether these measures stem from directives issued by the central government or were independently decided upon by the state government, possibly in anticipation of the upcoming general elections. Regardless of the rationale behind these actions, supporters of Janasena are pleased with the increased security measures for Pawan.
