The NIA has been conducting extensive investigations to thwart the terrorist organization’s plans to spread terror and violence in India.
According to ANI, the National Investigation Agency arrested 13 people in Maharashtra’s Pune on Saturday in connection with an ISIS terror conspiracy case.
The arrests came after an investigation raided 44 locations in Maharashtra and Karnataka in connection with a case involving the global terror group ISIS plotting terror attacks across the country.
The NIA raided one location in Karnataka, two in Pune, 31 in Thane Rural, nine in Thane City, and one in Bhayandar.
According to the news agency, anti-terrorist agency agents raided these locations in close collaboration with Maharashtra and Karnataka police forces.

The case concerns a criminal conspiracy hatched by the accused and their associates who had pledged allegiance to the violent extremist ideology of proscribed terrorist organizations such as Al-Qaeda and ISIS and formed a terrorist gang.
ISIS’s main goal is to establish a Caliphate by engaging in terrorist activities in various countries around the world, including India.
