Nepal earthquake: Many in Delhi and the National Capital Region reported violently shaking furniture as a result of the earthquake’s panicking effects.
On Monday, there were tremors felt throughout the National Capital Region and Delhi.
The following was posted on X by the National Centre for Seismology: “Earthquake of Magnitude:5.6, Occurred on 06-11-2023, 16:16:40 IST, Lat: 28.89 & Long: 82.36, Depth: 10 Km, Region: Nepal.”
It stated that the earthquake’s epicenter was located in Uttar Pradesh, 233 kilometers north of Ayodhya.
Days after Nepal was rocked by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake that left 160 people injured and 153 dead in what was considered the worst earthquake to strike the country since 2015.
Nepal has revised the death toll from the 6.4 magnitude earthquake that struck western parts of the country to 153 from 157, citing name duplication, according to PTI. Previously, 105 deaths were reported in Jajarkot, the epicenter of the earthquake, and 52 deaths in Rukum West district.
Now, the District Administration Office in Jajarkot has revised the district’s death toll to 101. In the Rukum West district, the death toll remained unchanged.
Nepal is located in one of the most active tectonic zones in the world (seismic zones IV and V), making the country extremely vulnerable to earthquakes.
