Modi: According to Kejriwal, the BJP shelved Fadnavis, Vasundhara Raje, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan to appoint Amit Shah as prime minister.

During a press conference held jointly with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reiterated his assertion that Amit Shah would assume the role of Prime Minister after Narendra Modi reaches the age of 75 in 2025. He emphasized that during discussions in New Delhi regarding PM Modi’s age and retirement, Amit Shah and several other leaders expressed opposition, yet PM Modi himself never explicitly stated that he wouldn’t retire at 75. Kejriwal underscored the nation’s confidence that Modi would adhere to the retirement age of 75.

The conditions are in place for Amit Shah to become prime minister. Every challenger, including Devendra Fadnavis, Manohar Lal Khattar, Vasundhara Raje, Dr. Raman Singh, and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has been ignored by the BJP in his view. Yogi Adityanath is now the only obstacle, and he will be eliminated in two to three months,” Kejriwal stated, noting that no BJP politician had challenged his remarks against Adityanath, suggesting that Adityanath’s departure was all but certain.

According to Kejriwal, ending reservations is the BJP’s “big plan” if they win the election.

At his inaugural rally post-release from Tihar, Kejriwal asserted that supporting the BJP would effectively endorse Amit Shah as the Prime Minister, considering Narendra Modi’s impending 75th birthday in 2025 and the party’s regulation barring individuals above 75 from holding office. Responding to Kejriwal’s statement, Amit Shah affirmed that Narendra Modi would serve out his term and continue to lead the party beyond 2029. Shah accused Kejriwal of sowing discord despite the absence of any internal leadership ambiguity within the party.

“I want to advise Arvind Kejriwal and his group that you should not be celebrating Modiji’s 75th birthday. There is no mention of him being unable to serve as prime minister in the BJP constitution. He will serve out his term as prime minister. The party is clear and organized,” Amit Shah stated.
