Mizoram Election 2023: Mizoram assembly elections begin today at 7 a.m. with polling in 40 seats. On December 3, there will be a vote count. 174 candidates will be chosen by more than 8.52 lakh voters in Mizoram. Security has been beefed up across Mizoram in preparation for the Assembly elections. According to the Election Commission of India, 8,52,088 voters in Mizoram will exercise their franchise in 1276 polling stations, including 4,13,064 male and 4,39,028 female voters.

In Mizoram, 50,611 voters who are between the ages of 18 and 19 will be making their election debuts. In the state, 8,490 senior citizens are over 80. Thirty polling places out of the state’s 1276 have been designated as crucial, according to the Chief Electoral Officer of Mizoram.
