Mani Shankar Aiyar: Who is he? Jairam Ramesh on China invasion

Mani Shankar Aiyar, the Congress leader, caused a stir when he made remarks about the Chinese supposedly invading India in October 1962.

On Wednesday, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh distanced his party from Mani Shankar Aiyar’s remarks about China. According to the leader, the former union minister made the remarks in his “personal capacity”.

Mani Shankar Aiyar ignited a big political uproar on Tuesday when he claimed during an event that the Chinese “allegedly invaded India” in October 1962. The remark generated a wave of criticism from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), causing the Congress to distance itself from Aiyar’s remarks.

Jairam Ramesh stated earlier in the day that Aiyar “subsequently apologized unreservedly” for his comments.

Ramesh told ANI, Who is Mani Shankar Aiyar?” He is not an official, but rather a former member of parliament and minister. He can say whatever he wants in his capacity.

We have nothing to do with it… The media, the BJP’s troll army, and social media are still controlling it. Today, he has no affiliation with the Congress party. He is a member of the Congress party, but he is not an MP, only a former MP, he added.

In addition, Jairam Ramesh aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for saying that Gandhi was “sent by god” and that “no one knew Mahatma Gandhi before ‘Gandhi’ (1982) movie was released.

The words that PM Modi is using, the way he disparages the leaders of the Congress and the INDIA group. It appears that he has even lost his mental equilibrium as he continues to propagate the epidemic of lies. The Congress politician remarked We fight elections between people, and here he [PM Modi] is calling himself God. What kind of a person is he, and how can he be trusted?

“Today, he claimed that no one knew Mahatma Gandhi before 1982.” The environment established by his party resulted in the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi. Godse is still revered today. “Our current prime minister shares the same ideology,” he remarked.

Jairam Ramesh conveyed his optimism that the INDIA bloc will lead the nation’s administration.
