Domestic LPG gas cylinder prices have been reduced by ₹200 for all customers.

During the Union cabinet meeting on Tuesday, the Centre reduced the price of cooking gas by ₹200 per cylinder for all domestic consumers. An additional subsidy under the Ujjwala scheme has been approved by the cabinet. The extra subsidy is ₹200. For Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) recipients, the subsidy will now be ₹400 per cylinder.

“PM Modi has decided to reduce the price of domestic LPG gas cylinders by Rs 200 for all users…this is a gift from PM Narendra Modi to the women of the country on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan and Onam,” Union Minister Anurag Thakur stated.
