Lok Sabha election dates: According to sources cited by News18, the Election Commission of India (ECI) is anticipated to unveil the date for the Lok Sabha elections sometime after March 9.

The report also mentioned that the top officials of the election commission are currently visiting various states for final inspections. It’s expected that the election schedule for 2024 might follow a similar pattern to the one in 2019. Back then, the dates for the general elections were revealed on March 10, 2019. The polling process took place over seven phases, spanning from April 11 to May 19.

With the Lok Sabha polls and Assembly elections in several states on the horizon, a dedicated team of officials from the Election Commission of India (ECI) is currently embarking on consecutive visits to various states. According to sources cited by News18, these representatives are slated to engage in meetings with government officials on March 8-9. Their primary objective is to assess the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir and ensure the availability of necessary forces for the smooth conduct of the elections.

On March 12-13, the team will revisit Jammu and Kashmir to conduct a thorough analysis of the ground situation. They aim to determine whether it would be feasible to hold Assembly polls in the Union Territory simultaneously with the Lok Sabha elections. Before the announcement of candidates for the Lok Sabha polls, the BJP’s election strategy for Uttar Pradesh will be finalized on February 20th.

According to sources cited by ANI, the significant meeting is scheduled for 3:30 pm on February 20th. It’s reported that Chief Minister Yogi, Baijayant Panda, Bhupendra Chaudhary, both deputy CMs, presidents of all fronts, regional presidents, and state officials will attend the meeting.

The report cited a source mentioning that a strategy will be crafted concerning rallies for the Lok Sabha elections. A comprehensive rally plan will be devised to encompass every Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, featuring PM Modi, CM Yogi, Amit Shah, and JP Nadda.
