Elections 2024: Election officials in seven assembly constituencies and the Vijayawada Parliament have successfully relocated the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) to the strong rooms.
The Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) have been successfully relocated to the strong rooms by the staff of the Vijayawada Parliament and seven assembly constituencies. On Tuesday, Collector Dilli Rao examined the strong rooms at Nimra and Nova Colleges. It was stated that in order to safely keep the EVMs, a total of 27 strong rooms had been constructed in 4 buildings. Every strong chamber shall be sealed, and all windows and ventilators shall be sealed as well.
Collector Dilli Rao specified that each strong room would be equipped with dual locks, one under the custody of the collector’s representative and the other entrusted to the Returning Officer (RO). Safeguarding the integrity of these strong rooms will be a collaborative effort between the Central Armed Police Force and the State Police Force, ensuring robust security measures.

In other developments, the Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024 polling procedure has been finished successfully. Polling began at 7 a.m. and ended at 6 p.m., with some polling booths extending their closing time to accommodate voters who were in line within 6 hours of the official closing time. As a result, polling in numerous places lasted until 11 p.m.
