Dhanush and Telugu filmmaker Sekhar Kammula are collaborating on a project, provisionally named D51.
RASHMIKA MANDANNA AND DHANUSH TO WORK ON ‘D 51’
Rashmika Mandanna was most recently seen in “Mission Majnu.” The actress is now filming ‘Pushpa: The Rule’ with Allu Arjun and Sukumar.
On August 14, the producers of ‘D 51’ revealed that Rashmika Mandanna had been cast as Dhanush’s love interest in the film. This is the first time the actress has worked with Dhanush and Sekhar Kammula. Rashmika expressed her excitement in a video.
Rashmika Mandanna will appear in Dhanush’s forthcoming flick D51, it has been revealed. In a social media clip, the Pushpa actor stated that she is eager to be a part of the film, which will be directed by Sekhar Kammula. The working title indicates that it will be Dhanush’s 51st film.
In the video, Rashmik stated, “Today, I have a big surprise for all of you, and I am very excited about this one.” She then released a poster of D51 with her name on it.” This is Rashmika’s debut film with Dhanush. She was recently seen in Vijay’s Varisu, which was a box office success despite receiving mixed reviews.
D51 was unveiled a day before Dhanush’s 40th birthday (July 28), with the actor sharing the film’s poster, which included a wad of ancient currency, which might be a hint that the film is set in the past.
Dhanush, who has built a sizable following for his films in Tamil, has begun to branch out into other states. He appeared in Vaathi, a Telugu film directed by Venky Atluri and released as Sir in Telugu. The picture received a positive review in both states, but it did not become a box office success. D51 will be available in Telugu as well as other major Indian languages.
Meanwhile, Dhanush is looking forward to the release of his next film, Captain Miller, directed by Arun Matheshwaran, well known for his work on Rocky. The film will be released on December 15, 2023, and will also star Priyanka Arul Mohan and Shivaraj Kumar.
