Cops intend to recreate the scene of Wednesday’s breach, in which two men jumped from the Lok Sabha visitor’s gallery and released colored smoke.

The Delhi Police anti-terror cell has been tasked with investigating the Parliament security breach, which sent shockwaves across the country. Cops plan to recreate the scene of Wednesday’s breach, in which two men jumped off the Lok Sabha visitor’s gallery and released colored smoke, as part of their investigation.

The alleged mastermind of the breach, a Kolkata-based teacher, surrendered to police yesterday.

According to sources, the accused will be taken to Parliament over the next few weeks to recreate the scene of the breach.

According to Special Cell sources, this will assist the police in determining how they entered the Parliament building with color spray and carried out their plan.

During the current Winter Session, the probe team has encountered difficulties in recreating the scene. As a result, the activity will take place on Saturday or Sunday, when the House is not in session.

Cops will also take the accused to the Gurugram house where they frequently met to look for clues.

On Wednesday, shocking scenes occurred in the Lok Sabha when Sagar Sharma jumped from the visitors’ gallery into the chamber. He jumped from desk to desk, holding a yellow smoke canister in his hand. The other intruder, D Manoranjan, opened a smoke canister as MPs overpowered him. He, too, was apprehended.

The breach occurred 22 years after a terror attack on the old building killed nine people, including eight security personnel.
