The BCCI reacted very instantly to Virat Kohli’s Instagram story, which revealed his yo-yo test score

Virat Kohli’s Instagram story on Thursday, in which he revealed his yo-yo fitness test score, irritated the top brass of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). Hours after Kohli’s Instagram tale went viral, the Indian team administration reportedly issued a strict directive to all Indian cricketers. The players were asked not to disclose their yo-yo test scores, which are considered confidential information, on social media channels.

The report claimed that all the cricketers currently present in a fitness and preparatory camp at Alur in Bengaluru before the Asia Cup were given the guideline “verbally.”

Kohli announced in an Instagram story that he passed the yo-yo test with a score of 17.2. “The joy of completing the yo-yo is sandwiched between the dreaded cones.” “17.2 completed,” Kohli posted with a photo of himself. The fitness parameter mandated by the BCCI is 16.5.

Not satisfied with the public update, BCCI reacted almost immediately. They warned the players that disclosing such sensitive material on public forums could result in a “breach of contract.”

“Players have been verbally advised to avoid posting any confidential information on social media platforms.” They can share images while training, but displaying a score violates the contract provision,” a BCCI official was quoted in the report as stating.
