Viral Pic: AICC leader and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had a unique encounter with a daily wage worker who earns a living by transporting coal blocks on a bicycle and selling them in the market. As part of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Rahul is currently in Jharkhand on his way to neighboring Odisha when he spotted a cyclist with a substantial load of coal blocks tied to the bicycle along the National Highway.

Promptly, Rahul Gandhi halted the cyclist and inquired about the large blocks and their intended use. Upon learning that the young man had to travel around 30-40 km to sell them for a modest sum, Gandhi felt that the government should ensure justice for such marginalized sections of society. – Viral Pic

Rahul also tried his hand at dragging the bicycle with the weight on the road, believing that the youth’s paltry earnings from selling the blocks was an injustice. Though the youth play an important role in the development of Bharat, Rahul claims that their contributions are not recognized by the nation. The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra aims to comprehend the challenges of those who are struggling to make ends meet, to listen to their plight, and to ensure justice for them.

Before Gandhi’s yatra departs Odisha and heads into Chhattisgarh, it will pass via Sundargarh, Rourkela, and Jharsuguda. On February 7, Gandhi will do a roadshow in Rourkela, Gadagaon, and Uttara. He will spend the night at Jharsuguda on February 7.

Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ began in Manipur on January 14 and is expected to span 6,713 kilometers in 67 days, passing through 110 districts in 15 states. The journey is set to conclude in Mumbai on March 20.
