Prajwal Revanna will be arrested at the airport upon his return

Prajwal Revanna, the suspended JDS leader accused of sexually abusing multiple women, is set to be apprehended immediately upon his arrival at the airport.

The Hassan MP has booked a return flight from Munich to Bengaluru on May 30, and is likely to arrive in the city in the early hours of May 31.

Prajwal Revanna, who fled to Germany after alleged sex recordings involving him surfaced, reportedly boarded a flight from Munich to Bengaluru. He boarded the plane around 11.20 a.m.(nearby time), constant with India Today.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that action has been initiated under the provisions of the Passport Act 1967 to revoke the diplomatic passport of Prajwal Revanna. A show cause notice was dispatched to the passport holder on May 23, affording him a grace period of 10 working days to furnish a response to our notice. We await his reply and will proceed with further actions under the established regulations.

Thousands of people marched in Hassan on Thursday, calling for the arrest of the JDS leader who has been suspended.

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Karnataka Police, tasked with probing three rape cases against Revanna (33), has purportedly amassed a substantial body of circumstantial evidence related to the crimes. This evidence has been gathered in anticipation of the MP’s impending return from abroad on May 31.
