PM Modi: According to news agency PTI, Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed Amrita Roy, the BJP candidate nominated against TMC leader Mahua Moitra in Krishnanagar Lok Sabha constituency, that efforts are underway to return nearly ₹3,000 crore allegedly “looted” from poor people in West Bengal and seized by the Enforcement Directorate.

In a telephonic conversation with Amrita Roy, a member of the erstwhile royalty, the Prime Minister asserted that opposition parties prioritize power over the nation.

The news agency, citing sources within the BJP, reported that Prime Minister Modi informed ‘Rajmata’ Amrita Roy that he is considering legal avenues to ensure that the funds allegedly looted from the poor are returned to them, utilizing whatever assets and funds the Enforcement Directorate has confiscated from corrupt individuals.

According to details shared by the saffron party regarding the conversation with Roy, Prime Minister Modi stated that the amount of money paid by people of the state as kickbacks for securing jobs is approximately ₹3,000 crore.  -PM Modi

According to news agency PTI, the Prime Minister instructed the BJP candidate to communicate his stance to the people and affirmed that upon returning to power after the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, he will explore all avenues, including enacting legal provisions if necessary, to ensure that the funds allegedly looted from the poor are returned to them.
