Modi Cabinet 2024: President Droupadi Murmu led the conclusion of the oath ceremony for the 18th Lok Sabha Assembly. Along with several other ministers, such as Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, S Jaishankar, and many more, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the oath of office for the third time in a row.
On June 9, 2024, the 17th Lok Sabha Assembly’s official session came to an end. As of that same date, the 18th Lok Sabha Assembly is officially in session. With 293 seats won in the just finished General Elections, the BJP-led NDA has maintained its leadership of the federal government, while the INDIA alliance, which is its opponent, managed to get 232 seats for the next parliamentary session. -Modi Cabinet 2024
The 17th Lok Sabha Assembly’s adjournment also marked the conclusion of the 2019–2024 session’s cabinet ministry, as the NDA unveiled the list of new cabinet ministers for the Modi Government 3.0, which included some new faces as well as some familiar faces from the previous government. Notably, on July 7, 2021, the Modi 2.0 government increased the size of the Cabinet by adding new ministries, removing some ministers, and rearranging some portfolios. -Modi Cabinet 2024
