Modi Affidavit: On May 14th, Prime Minister Modi undertook a significant step in his electoral journey by filing his nomination from Varanasi. The rally held on this occasion was graced by the presence of notable political figures, including Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. Following the protocol, Modi meticulously submitted his election affidavit to the Election Commission, offering a peek into crucial details encapsulating his candidacy. This move underscores the transparency and accountability inherent in the electoral process, as Modi lays bare his assets, liabilities, and other pertinent information for public scrutiny.
The affidavit highlights a noteworthy detail: Modi’s disclosure of “Nil” in the section regarding vehicle ownership. This revelation might come as a surprise to many, particularly given his prominent role as the Prime Minister of India. However, this fact becomes more comprehensible when considering the perpetual presence of a fully equipped convoy accompanying him.
Regarding his movable assets, Modi declared that he possesses assets valued at Rs 3.02 crores. His cash is only Rs. 52,000. In one of his two SBI bank accounts, Modi has just Rs 7,000 in cash. In addition, he possesses Rs 2,85,60,338 in fixed deposits from SBI.

Modi’s taxable income increased by double from Rs 11 lakh in the 2018–19 fiscal year to Rs 23.5 lakh in the 2022–2023 fiscal year, according to the affidavit.
