Mamata Banerjee: To dispel confusion around her previous statement, Mamata Banerjee stated that the Trinamool Congress was a constituent of the INDIA bloc in Delhi.

In short

  • Mamata Banerjee confirms that her party is still part of the INDIA bloc.
  • There is no coalition between the Congress, CPM, and Trinamool in Bengal.
  • Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury claims Mamata Banerjee departed the alliance.

On Thursday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee clarified that her party remains a member of the Opposition’s INDIA bloc. Her declaration was made the day after she declared that her party would help the INDIA bloc from the outside to create the Central government. Mamata Banerjee left the alliance and ran away, according to Congressman Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

On Thursday, She stated that the Trinamool Congress was a member of the INDIA bloc in Delhi, but she made it clear that her party, the Congress, and the CPM do not have an alliance in Bengal.

“Vote-splitting attempts by the Congress and CPI(M), supported by BJP funding, ought to be opposed. Vote for them elsewhere. We are linked in Delhi, but as I have stated, there is no alliance in Bengal. At a Haldia election rally, She declared, “We will continue to be so.”

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the leader of the Congress, however, stated that he did not trust the chief of the Trinamool Congress and that she had already quit the partnership.

“I have misgivings about her. She fled the alliance after quitting. She could turn to the BJP. After claiming that Congress would not win more than 40 seats and that the party would be destroyed, she is now asserting that this indicates the coalition and the Congress party are winning power, according to Chowdhury.
