Independence Day History
The Indian Independence Bill was presented to the British House of Colonials on July 4, 1947. On August 15, 1947, British supremacy came to an end after 200 years. The Indian Independence Act was passed by the British on July 18, 1947, and the entire law gave rise to the long-running Indian Independence Movement.
For our independence, many freedom warriors including Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhas Chandra Bose, and others struggled. Many valiant soldiers gave their lives in service to our nation.
