The World Health Organization (WHO) and India will launch the Global Initiative on Digital Health today, August 19, as part of the ongoing G20 G20 Summit conference in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
The G20 Health Ministers’ Meeting is being place in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, from August 17 to 19. Earlier in the day, WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus congratulated India for increasing health coverage and programmes.
This framework intends to bring together worldwide efforts in digital health and scale up digital solutions through the use of cutting-edge technologies.
According to the Ministry of Health, “in partnership with the WHO, the Global Initiative on Digital Health has been established, fostering collaboration among nations and organizations to realize this transformative vision.”
