Elections: Significant traffic congestion unfolded along the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway as individuals made their way back to Hyderabad after exercising their voting rights in their respective hometowns on Monday evening. With elections held in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on the same day, many commuters traveled to their native places in AP or within Telangana, only to return to Hyderabad thereafter. This influx led to a substantial buildup of vehicles on the highway, particularly evident at toll plazas, as Monday evening progressed.

Hyderabad’s highways appeared desolate on election day as a large number of people departed the city to cast their ballots.
