CBSE Result 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the results of the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams for 2024 sometime next week. As per media reports, it is expected that the CBSE will announce the results for both classes on May 12, 2024. However, there hasn’t been an official confirmation regarding the specific date and time for the highly anticipated board results.

Previously, CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta mentioned that the results for both Classes 10 and 12 would be announced in May, without providing a specific date or time. This announcement follows reports of a fake notice circulating on various social media platforms, erroneously indicating that the CBSE Class 10 and 12 results would be released on May 1, 2024.

The CBSE will activate the results link on its official website, cbseresults.nic.in, shortly after the results are published, allowing students to view their results.

How to see the results of the CBSE 2024 exam

  • Go to the official website of CBSE: cbseresults.nic.in or results.cbse.nic.in.
  • On the homepage, locate and click on the link for examinations/board results 2024.
  • Choose the appropriate link for either Class 10 or Class 12 Board results 2024.
  • A new window will appear; log in using the necessary credentials such as roll number, school number, and security PIN.
  • Click on the submit button.
  • The CBSE Class 10 or Class 12 results will be presented on your screen.
  • For future use, download and print the result.
  • Students also have the option to retrieve their results via the DigiLocker application. The DigiLocker website (digilocker.gov.in) provides the feature to access CBSE scores as well.

Minimum passing grade for CBSE result 2024

To successfully pass the examinations, students must achieve a minimum passing mark of 33% in each subject as well as overall. To discourage unhealthy competition among students, CBSE has chosen not to release any merit lists.

The CBSE administered the board exams from February 15 to April 2, 2024. Class 10 exams were held between February 15 and March 13, 2024, while Class 12 exams took place from February 15 to April 2, 2024. These exams were conducted in a single shift, starting at 10:30 am and concluding at 1:30 pm daily. Approximately 39 lakh candidates registered for the CBSE Board exams in 2024, encompassing both Class 10 and 12. In the national capital, approximately 5.80 lakh students participated in the CBSE board exams 2024, which were conducted across 877 examination centers.

In 2023, CBSE announced the Class 10 and 12 board results on May 12. The pass percentage for Class 10 was 93.12%, and for Class 12, it stood at 87.33%.
