Assembly: Aside from the Lok Sabha members, Rajya Sabha member Kirori Lal Meena submitted his resignation to the Rajya Sabha chairman.

Ten Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha MPs, including two Union ministers, resigned from the Lok Sabha on Wednesday after winning assembly elections in three states: Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh, according to people familiar with the matter.

After meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP President JP Nadda, the ten members of Parliament submitted their resignation to the Lok Sabha Speaker’s office. They were accompanied to the speaker’s office by the party’s president.

Union Minister of Agriculture Narendra Tomar, Minister of State for Food Processing and Jal Shakti Prahlad Patel, Riti Pathak, Rakesh Singh, and Uday Pratap Singh from MP, Rajyavardhan Rathore, Rajasthan’s Diya Kumari, and Chhattisgarh’s Arun Sao and Gomti Sai are among those who met with Speaker Om Birla to request their resignation.

The BJP’s endorsed candidates for the assembly seats, Baba Balaknath and Renuka Singh, are the two Lok Sabha MPs who have not yet tendered their resignations.

Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena also tendered his resignation to the Rajya Sabha chairman.

These MPs will tender their resignations, according to HT’s report on Monday.
