Recently, Shafique was asked about Afridi and Haris facing each other in the nets and the report added Bumrah’s name saying that he is likely to return to the Asia Cup squad.

“Haris, Naseem, Shaheen, you stand with the nets all the time during training. Do you find it easy when you face the opposition bowlers? Especially when you talk about India… because it looks like Jasprit Bumrah is also coming. back in the Asia Cup,” the reporter asked the 23-year-old Pakistani of the player.

The youngster did not mention Bumrah by name, but praised his teammates, saying Pakistan has the best bowling in the world.

“Our bowling attack is pretty good, the best in the world in fact. We will match them (Shaheen, Haris, Naseem) in the nets… we will face their challenges. And that will give us a lot of confidence and help us in our preparation… If we play well against them, we are definitely more confident against the bowlers,” replied Abdullah Shafique.

The much-anticipated match between India and Pakistan in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has been postponed to another date, adding to the cancellation of eight other matches in the tournament. The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently released a statement on the revised schedule for the World Cup in India.
