Speaking to the media is AAP MP Raghav Chadha.

Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday in response to claims of “forged signatures” made by five Rajya Sabha members, and he pressed the saffron party to produce him the document on which they allege the counterfeit signatures were made.

The BJP’s lies must be exposed, thus I feel compelled to. No signature is requested or obtained in accordance with the rulebook. So I challenge the BJP to present me with the document on which they allege the signatures were forgeries,” Chadha said at a press conference.

“According to the Rajya Sabha rules, a member whose name has been suggested for the select committee is not required to sign or provide written permission. It is not stated anywhere that you need the proposed member’s signatures or written consent, Chadha continued.

Chadha stated that he will take the BJP members who had falsely accused him of forgery to court and the committee of privileges.

The MP allegedly hadn’t yet received any notification from the Privilege Committee, according to the AAP.

The AAP leader allegedly added the names of the five MPs to the planned panel without consulting them first or getting their permission, according to the five MPs.

The objections of the MPs were sent to the Privileges Committee on Wednesday by Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar for review and investigation of the claims made.

Chadha had been accused of violating the chairman’s privilege for, among other things, inserting the names of the MPs in a resolution on August 7 “without their consent, in violation of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business.”

According to a Rajya Sabha bulletin, “On consideration of the facts, the Hon’ble Chairman, Rajya Sabha has referred the matter under Rule 203 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Council of States (Rajya Sabha) to the Committee of Privileges for examination, investigation, and report.”
