ISRO Launch Updates: The INSAT-3DS satellite is scheduled to launch at 5:35 pm, aiming to facilitate advanced weather studies and enhance disaster warnings.
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is preparing for the upcoming launch of its sophisticated meteorological satellite, INSAT-3DS, scheduled for this Saturday. This mission, identified as GSLV-F14/INSAT-3DS, follows the Third Generation Meteorological Satellite, and notably, its financing is fully supported by the Ministry of Earth Sciences.
INSAT-3DS is tailored to conduct advanced meteorological observations, thereby enhancing weather forecasting capabilities.
With state-of-the-art payloads, such as a 6-channel Imager and a 19-channel Sounder, INSAT-3DS guarantees high-quality meteorological data collection.
The launch date and time for ISRO’s INSAT-3DS mission are as follows.
The GSLV-F14/INSAT-3DS mission is set to take place on Saturday at 5:35 pm from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre – SHAR, located in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
The 16th GSLV mission aims to deploy the INSAT-3DS meteorological satellite into the Geosynchronous Transfer Orbit (GTO). After a series of orbit-raising maneuvers, the satellite will then be positioned in a Geostationary Orbit.
